It is hard to live in South Africa for very long without wanting to play a role in its future. It is a country that is well invested in a peaceful transition to democracy; however it is a country that still has immense poverty, high unemployment and significant numbers without a high school diploma. 

For Di and Anne, it was about combining their individually unique capabilities and creating a fabric company like no other.  One that would bring back the personal touch –beginning with fabric design, where we create exactly what the client wants and continuing through the actual fabric printing, which is all done by hand.  Yes, it is about creating beautiful and dramatic fabrics.  But it is also very much about the process–providing work for unskilled labour–work that is inspiring, work that is confidence building, and work that is fun.
